Biography

Great Britain hero Robert Lambert has enjoyed a rapid rise in recent years. After winning the 2020 Speedway European Championship to qualify for Speedway GP, he ended his country’s 32-year wait for a world team title at the 2021 FIM Speedway of Nations Final in Manchester. Norfolk's finest made it two FIM Speedway of Nations world titles in three years in Manchester on July 13, 2024, before storming to his first-ever Speedway GP victory at the Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark - Vojens on September 14 to guarantee his place on the Speedway GP World Championship podium. He then saw off Swedish rival Fredrik Lindgren to seal silver on a tense night in Torun. After becoming only the third Brit to win a medal in the Speedway GP era, following former world champions Mark Loram and Tai Woffinden, the new world No.2 goes for gold in the 2025 Speedway GP series.
