Welcome to SGP2
The FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship Series!
After two years of SGP2 dominance by Poland's Mateusz Cierniak, his fellow countryman Wiktor Przyjemski emerged as FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion in 2024.
A new class of SGP2 riders will battle it out over three rounds in 2025 as the sport's biggest junior championship visits Malilla on July 4 and Riga on August 1, before concluding on our weekend of champions in Vojens on September 12.
SGP2 gives the world’s top under-21 riders a dream opportunity to share the spotlight with the FIM Speedway Grand Prix elite as part of global promoters Warner Bros. Discovery Sports’ vision to build a pathway to the top for speedway’s next generation of stars.
The 2024 championship saw Polish racer Przyjemski become his nation's 18th FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion, with Ukrainian racer Nazar Parnitskyi taking silver and Norwegian sensation Mathias Pollestad bagging bronze - putting their nations firmly in the FIM Speedway spotlight.
Unlike Speedway GP, every rider must qualify for SGP2 - even the previous year's champion. Sixteen riders will compete in each round with 12 of the riders making it via the qualifiers staged across Europe. The line-up will then be completed by three wild cards chosen by the SGP2 Commission.
See the stars of the future shine in the SGP2 spotlight in 2025! Don’t miss the action in Malilla, Riga or Vojens this season.
