Biography

The Dane heads into 2023 with his second Speedway GP silver medal and his second Speedway European Championship gold medal after a rock-solid 2022 season.

After first being crowned Speedway European Championship winner in 2018, Madsen was handed a Speedway GP wild card for 2019.

The Dane made a huge impact, topping the FIM Warsaw Speedway GP podium on his full-time series debut, before going on to win the FIM British Speedway GP in Cardiff and the FIM Torun Speedway GP on his way to World Championship silver that year.

Madsen won the Torun round with a seven-ride maximum, but fell just two points short of world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik.

While has not won a round since, he reached at least the semi-finals at every round in 2022 on his way to the silver medal. He will be determined to upgrade it to gold in 2023.
