Biography

After years doubling up between Britain’s top two leagues, Jason Doyle finished second at the 2014 FIM GP Challenge in Lonigo, Italy to earn his FIM Speedway Grand Prix debut. The Aussie quickly made himself at home by finishing fifth in the 2015 Speedway GP World Championship, before launching a breathtaking title charge in 2016. Despite winning four Speedway GP rounds, Doyle’s championship dreams were cruelly dashed when he crashed out of the penultimate round in Torun. But he hit back in epic style in 2017. Despite racing most of the season with a broken foot, Speedway GP’s man of steel stormed to an unforgettable world-title win, sealing gold in front of an ecstatic home crowd in Melbourne – winning the FIM Australian Speedway GP too for good measure. Doyle finished 10th in last year’s Speedway GP series, but received a permanent wild card for 2023.
