Former FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Michael Jepsen Jensen will remain in Swedish side Smederna’s squad for 2024.

The former Speedway GP rider has raced for the Eskilstuna club since 2017 but endured problems with a hand injury in 2023.

MJJ is not expected to race in every meeting for Smederna this year, but the club hopes he will race the 12 heats needed to qualify for play-off participation.

Boss Jerker Eriksson said: “When we agreed on this arrangement, it was too good not to do it. Then we'll see. I know what he can do, and he is always an asset to the team.”

Jepsen Jensen is joined in the squad by former SGP star Kim Nilsson, double World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik, Aussie champion Rohan Tungate, Vadim Tarasenko, Grzegorz Zengota, Patryk Wojdylo, Philip Hellstrom-Bangs, Joel Andersson and Anton Jansson.
