Danish teenager William Drejer has followed up his Jørgen Hansen Biler FIM SGP2 of Denmark – Vojens heroics by extending his stay with Speedwayligaen side Slangerup into 2024.

Drejer stormed to an unforgettable FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship debut on September 15, starting the Vojens SGP2 event as a track reserve, before reaching the semi-finals, despite racing just four heats. He then finished third in the final behind Poland’s Damian Ratajczak and Sweden’s Casper Henriksson.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that Slangerup has extended his stay at the club into 2024 and club bosses are backing him to continue progressing on the shale.

They told Facebook: “We have been happy to work with William, who has achieved a lot in his career. With the right help, we believe William can go far, so we're looking forward to following the journey and seeing what we can do together.”

The club has also added Danish rider Jonas Seifert-Salk to its 2024 ranks, with 2022 FIM SGP3 runner-up Villads Nagel also on board.
