Triple world champion Tai Woffinden and double European champion Mikkel Michelsen both roared into top form with six-ride maximums in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.

Woffinden raced to an awesome 18-pointer as champions Wroclaw triumphed 54-36 over promoted club Ostrow at the Olympic Stadium.

The Brit was backed up by 11 paid 12 points from international team mate Dan Bewley and 11 points from their Speedway GP rival Maciej Janowski. Gleb Chugunov notched nine paid 13.

Swedish star Oliver Berntzon bagged 11 paid 12 for Ostrow, with 2012 world champion Chris Holder tallying 10. The meeting was marred by a heavy crash for Polish veteran Grzegorz Walasek, who was taken to hospital for further checks after his fall in heat eight.

Elsewhere, Michelsen racked up a 17 paid 18-point maximum for Lublin as they romped to a 58-32 victory at home to Leszno.

Former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel piled up 14 points, with FIM Warsaw Speedway GP wild card Maksym Drabik warming up for his big night at PGE Narodowy next weekend by bagging 12 paid 14.

Polish star Janusz Kolodziej was Leszno’s top performer on 10 paid 11, with Jason Doyle and Piotr Pawlicki scoring six.
