FIM Speedway Grand Prix action from Teterow will be televised live and free on Eurosport 1 in Germany as Discovery Sports Events brings the country’s biggest speedway event to a nationwide audience.

The FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Teterow will be broadcasted free-to-air on Saturday, June 4 as the world’s top riders battle it out for World Championship points at the Bergring Arena.

Highlights of every Speedway GP round will be available on Eurosport 1. And German fans can also follow the entire Speedway GP series live and in full on the Eurosport App, which features qualifying practice coverage, a documentary series and other innovative features, including live data such as rider heartbeat, reaction time and trajectory analysis to illustrate the demands placed on the riders on the track.

With Speedway GP returning to Germany for the first time since 2019, global promoter Discovery Sports Events is determined to ensure as many fans as possible can enjoy an exciting night of racing.

François Ribeiro, Head of Discovery Sports Events, commented: “It’s a real pleasure to offer our German fans live coverage of their local round on Eurosport 1, as well as highlights of every event throughout the season.

“Speedway has a fantastic following in Germany and we are pleased to bring the Speedway GP series back to the Bergring Arena this summer.

“It is a track the Speedway GP riders do not visit on a regular basis and it’s always very tough to predict a winner, so I think viewers in Germany can expect a fiercely contested night of racing live from Teterow on June 4.”

The 2022 FIM Speedway season, the first of ten seasons under Discovery Sports Events, begins on Saturday with the FIM Speedway GP of Croatia – Donji Kraljevec.
