Biography

Great Britain hero Robert Lambert has enjoyed a rapid rise in recent years. After winning the 2020 Speedway European Championship to qualify for Speedway GP, he ended his country’s 32-year wait for a world team title at the 2021 FIM Speedway of Nations Final in Manchester. He took things to another level in 2022, reaching his first podiums as he finished second in Vojens and third in Wroclaw on his way to becoming world No.5 in 2022. He also came within four laps of a second straight FIM SON gold medal with Dan Bewley as Australia broke GB hearts at Vojens that summer. Lambert followed it up with a strong sixth place in 2023 and also came within less than a lap of landing Great Britain’s first modern-day Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup win at Wroclaw. Norfolk’s finest can be proud of securing automatic qualification for two seasons running and will now go into 2024 chasing his first Speedway GP World Championship medal.
