BIOGRAPHY

After being crowned Speedway European Championship winner in 2018, Madsen was handed a SpeedwayGP wild card for 2019.

The Dane made a huge impact, topping the Warsaw SpeedwayGP podium on his full-time series debut, before going on to win the British SpeedwayGP in Cardiff and the Torun SpeedwayGP on his way to World Championship silver.

Madsen won the Torun round with a seven-ride maximum, but fell just two points short of world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik.

Despite finishing fifth in 2020 and seventh in 2021, he still reached the FIM Speedway of Nations rostrum, winning bronze medals with Denmark in both seasons. He was also part of his country’s 2012 FIM Speedway World Cup-winning squad, but did not race in the Final.

DID YOU KNOW? Madsen was the first rider to select a personal rider number previously used by another SpeedwayGP star. His No.30 was previously worn by Sweden’s Tomas H Jonasson in 2015.
