BIOGRAPHY

One of the Motorcycling Federation of Russia’s all-time greats, Emil Sayfutdinov raced to the third FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championship bronze medal of his career in 2021 – following up his third-place finishes in 2009 and 2019.

He won back-to-back FIM Speedway U21 World Championships in 2007 and 2008, before being handed a wild card for the 2009 SpeedwayGP series.

He has made more history for his country since then, joining forces with Artem Laguta to win three straight FIM Speedway of Nations world titles from 2018 to 2020 – MFR’s first senior speedway world titles of any kind.

DID YOU KNOW? Sayfutdinov became his country’s first-ever FIM Speedway Grand Prix winner on his series debut – topping the podium at the season-opening Czech Republic SpeedwayGP in Prague on April 25, 2009, aged 19.
