The FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, promoted by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, has teamed up with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga ahead of the film’s much-anticipated release.

The Warner Bros. Pictures production, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, hits cinemas internationally from May 22.

But before then, Furiosa will play a starring role in the Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw on Saturday, May 11 as well as the Trans MF FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Landshut on Saturday, May 18.

Fans visiting the fanzone at both PGE Narodowy in Warsaw and Landshut’s OneSolar Arena can take a Furiosa framed photo in a special photobooth or pose on the red carpet in front of our move photo wall. Races will feature a Furiosa-themed start, and there will be an opportunity to watch a special greeting from the stars of the film, along with the trailer on the big screen during the night.

George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is the much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 40 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films. Miller now turns the page again with an all-new original, standalone action adventure that will reveal the origins of the powerhouse character from the multiple Oscar-winning global smash Mad Max: Fury Road.

As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Taylor-Joy stars in the title role, and along with Hemsworth, the film also stars Tom Burke and Alyla Browne.

The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in cinemas internationally from May 22.

With 500cc engines, no brakes and bikes that accelerate faster than a Formula 1 car, the high-octane Speedway GP series looks forward to putting Furiosa at the centre of the action in Warsaw and Landshut over the next week.

FIM Speedway World Championships director Laura Manciet commented: “This truly is the perfect partnership. Speedway GP is the ultimate family extreme sports event, and we can’t wait for the release of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Fans have a great chance to get an early taste of the movie in the Speedway GP fanzone and throughout the night.

We look forward to welcoming Speedway GP and Mad Max fans to PGE Narodowy and the OneSolar Arena for two nights of full-throttle action.”
