POLISH STAR PRZYJEMSKI SEALS SGP2 GOLD IN TORUN
27/09/2024
Shooting star Wiktor Przyjemski held his nerve to become Poland’s 18th FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion with an ice-cool performance at the DeWalt FIM SGP2 of Poland – Torun on Friday.
Przyjemski sealed the SGP2 gold medal with a ride to spare, winning semi-final one to put the title beyond Ukrainian rival Nazar Parnitskyi, who claimed the silver medal in the championship, while Norway’s Mathias Pollestad bagged bronze with victory on the night.
Gorzow racer Mathias Pollestad saw off Przyjemski to win a twice-restarted final, which saw Parnitskyi placed third after crashing out – moments after Philip Hellstrom-Bangs fell in the first run of the race, leaving the Swede fourth in Torun.
Full report to follow later.
