NO FRACTURES FOR THOMSEN AFTER DANISH FALLNO FRACTURES FOR THOMSEN AFTER DANISH FALL

Double Danish champion Anders Thomsen has confirmed he avoided fractures after crashing in a Danish Speedwayligaen match in Fjelsted on Wednesday.

Thomsen suffered a fall in heat three of Vojens 53-31 victory. He withdrew from the meeting and was taken to hospital for further checks.

Initial fears that he suffered a broken elbow proved unfounded. Taking to social media, Thomsen confirmed he suffered no fractures in the incident but admits he has work to do to get ready for Polish club Gorzow’s PGE Ekstraliga trip to Krosno on Sunday.

Posting on Facebook, he wrote: “Dear fans, thank you very much for your support. I just finished a detailed elbow examination. There are no fractures. Now it's time for some intensive work with physiotherapists. I'll do everything to be ready for Sunday's meeting in Krosno.”

The test results come as good news for Thomsen as he prepares for the Prague FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic on June 3.

The 2022 FIM Gorzow Speedway GP winner is currently 13th in the SGP World Championship with eight points from the opening two rounds and bidding to improve on this tally at Marketa Stadium.
