LOCAL LION BERNTZON BACK FOR 2025

Former Speedway GP star Oliver Berntzon is back with Swedish champions Lejonen for 2025.

Berntzon helped his local club lift their first league title since 2009 last season. It was the former Swedish individual champion’s first team gold medal of his Lions career, and boss Anders Frojd is delighted to have the 2022 FIM Speedway of Nations bronze medallist back in Gislaved next season.

He told the club’s official website: “Oliver is a local guy who we cherish a lot. He means a lot to the group with his leadership qualities. But he is also an extremely skilled rider. 

“For the past two years, Oliver has had the challenging role of racing alongside the world's best rider, Bartosz Zmarzlik. He has done excellently. But really, he is therefore better than his average shows. In most teams, he would have been a heat leader. Oliver is a very important piece of the puzzle in the 2025 team. I am very happy that he is staying.”
