World No.2 Robert Lambert has received a wild-card entry for the British Championship Final as he faces off with reigning champion and home hero Dan Bewley in Manchester on Monday, May 12.

The top nine Brits in the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership averages have been seeded into the event – the winner of which will receive a dream wild card for the ATPI FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Manchester double-header on June 13 and 14.

If Bewley wins his fourth straight British title next month, or Lambert adds to his 2018 crown, the highest-placed non-Speedway GP rider will join them at the National Speedway Stadium, wearing the iconic No.16 wild-card race jacket, in June.

Lambert and Bewley are joined as confirmed starters in the British Final by their FIM Speedway of Nations world title-winning teammate Tom Brennan – last year’s FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Cardiff wild card.

Former British champions Chris Harris, Adam Ellis, Charles Wright and Danny King are among the seeds, plus former British Championship runners-up Richard Lawson and Steve Worrall, with in-form former GB Under-21 star Anders Rowe completing the list.

The remaining six spots in the British Final will be earned by the top six riders in the British Championship Semi-Final, which takes place at Leicester on Thursday, May 1.

The event features the likes of former Speedway GP star Craig Cook, Kyle Howarth, Lewis Kerr, 2024 SGP2 rider Leon Flint, and former SON2 riders Dan Thompson, Drew Kemp and Dan Gilkes.
