ELITSERIEN | LINDGREN LEADS VASTERVIK VICTORY CHARGE

Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren raced to 13 paid 14 points for Vastervik as they collected a 53-37 victory away to Vargarna in the Bauhaus Elitserien on Tuesday.
The world No.3 won four of his five races as the visitors triumphed, with his Speedway GP rival Robert Lambert also dropping just one point to an opponent. He collected 12 paid 14. Polish racer Bartosz Smektala scored nine paid 10 points, while double Swedish champion Jacob Thorssell registered a straight nine.
Former World Under-21 champion Jakub Miskowiak topped the Vargarna scoring on 13, with Niels-Kristian Iversen adding 10.
Double World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik starred on 13 paid 14 points for Smederna as they claimed a 46-44 win away to Dackarna.
Drabik joined Gleb Chugunov for a vital 3-3 in the final race to ensure the Eskilstuna outfit held on for victory. Danish star Leon Madsen collected 12 for the visitors, with Chugunov adding nine paid 11 and Norway’s Mathias Pollestad scoring six paid eight.
Denmark’s Frederik Jakobsen topped the Dackarna score chart on 10 paid 11 points, with Tomas H Jonasson and Rasmus Jensen both bagging eight paid 10 points.
Former SGP2 bronze medallist Bartlomiej Kowalski collected 13 points for Indianerna as they won 51-39 at home to Rospiggarna.
Former Speedway GP star Szymon Wozniak picked up 10 paid 11 points, with Warsaw wild card Patryk Dudek scoring a straight 10. American international Luke Becker added eight paid nine.
Rospiggarna’s scoring was led by 11 points from former Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta, with Vadim Tarasenko notching nine.
In the day’s other meeting, former SGP2 rider Casper Henriksson scored nine paid 11 points for Lejonen as they won a shortened match 40-19 away to Piraterna.
Racing was stopped after 10 heats due to track conditions, but five-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik won all three of his rides – notching nine points. Dominik Kubera added seven paid eight. Przemyslaw Pawlicki was Pirates’ top performer on six paid seven.
