ELITSERIEN | LINDGREN HITS MAX ON SWEDISH LEAGUE COMEBACK
07/05/2025

Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren made a triumphant Bauhaus Elitserien return with Vastervik, racking up a 14 paid 15-point maximum as they won their opening match 47-43 away to Indianerna on Tuesday evening.
Lindgren sat out his home league in 2024, instead racing for Birmingham in Britain’s Rowe Motor Oil Premiership alongside his commitments with Polish champions Lublin and in the Speedway GP series.
But the world No.3 made a successful comeback, and he was joined in piling up the points by British duo Robert Lambert and Tom Brennan, who tallied 10 points apiece, while Denmark’s Mads Hansen added eight paid 10.
American international Luke Becker was Indians’ top scorer on nine paid 10, with former world No.2 Patryk Dudek bagging seven paid eight.
Elsewhere, Dackarna defied heroic performances from Speedway GP Poles Bartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera to claim a 50-40 victory over champions Lejonen in Malilla.
Zmarzlik zoomed to 16 points from six outings for the Lions, with Kubera collecting 13 from six. Kacper Woryna accrued eight paid nine.
But Swedish international Timo Lahti led Dackarna to victory on 12 paid 13, with Denmark’s Frederik Jakobsen adding 11 paid 12 and Ukrainian sensation Nazar Parnitskyi recording nine paid 10. Latvian ace Andzejs Lebedevs scored six points.
Smederna star Gleb Chugunov raced to a huge last-heat victory over former FIM Speedway of Nations World Championship-winning teammate Artem Laguta to earn the Eskilstuna side a 46-44 win at home to Rospiggarna.
Chugunov collected 11 points, with former world No.2 Leon Madsen, double World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik and Jakub Jamrog all registering seven paid eight points apiece.
Laguta dropped just one point to Chugunov on his way to 14 for Rospiggarna, with compatriot Vadim Tarasenko adding 11 and Australia’s Ryan Douglas scoring eight paid nine points.
In the day’s other meeting, a 17-point salvo from Danish rider Andreas Lyager wasn’t enough to save Piraterna from a 46-44 loss away to Vargarna.
Oskar Polis led the Wolves to victory on 13 points, with former world No.3 Niels Kristian Iversen accruing eight paid 11. Lyager was assisted by an 11-point tally from fellow Danish rider Tim Sorensen for the Pirates.
