Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik piled up a 15-point maximum for PGE Ekstraliga champions Lublin as they made certain of top spot in the pre-play-off table with a 55-35 win away to Czestochowa on Friday evening.
Zmarzlik bids for a third straight OlyBet FIM Speedway GP of Latvia – Riga victory at Bikernieki on Saturday, August 2, and he’s warming up nicely for his return to SGP action.
He cruised through five rides unbeaten, with SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski also starring on 10 paid 12, while two-time SGP2 winner Mateusz Cierniak added 10 paid 11.
Speedway GP racer Dominik Kubera notched nine paid 12 points, with Jack Holder scoring seven paid eight and Fredrik Lindgren picking up one.
Poland’s Kacper Woryna raced to 12 for the Lions, with 2017 Speedway GP world champion Jason Doyle collecting 11 paid 13.
In the day’s other match, world No.2 Robert Lambert and Patryk Dudek both went unbeaten for second-placed Torun as they defeated Gorzow 60-29 at the Marian Rose Motoarena.
Lambert stormed to a 14 paid 15-point maximum, with Dudek registering 13 paid 15 from five. Speedway GP star Jan Kvech scored nine paid 11, while Emil Sayfutdinov scored nine paid 10 and three-time European champion Mikkel Michelsen added five paid six.
Latvia’s Andzejs Lebedevs led the scoring on eight for Gorzow, with Danish racer Anders Thomsen collecting seven paid eight and Slovak star Martin Vaculik bagging five paid six.
