EKSTRALIGA | TERRIFIC 20 FOR DOYLE

Aussie racer Jason Doyle stormed to a tremendous 20 points for Polish club Czestochowa, but he was unable to save them from a 55-35 loss away to Wroclaw in the PGE Ekstraliga on Thursday.

Doyle dropped just one point from seven rides as he roared into red-hot form ahead of Saturday’s Virkvarn FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla.

But a rock-solid Wroclaw team performance proved too much for the Lions as former SGP2 star Bartlomiej Kowalski led their scoring on 10 paid 13, while Speedway GP title contender Brady Kurtz collected 10 paid 11 – a figure matched by 2021 world champion Artem Laguta. Great Britain racer Dan Bewley bagged eight paid 10.

Polish star Kacper Woryna offered Doyle’s only serious support on nine paid 10, with the club badly missing the injured Piotr Pawlicki.
