EKSTRALIGA | KURTZ STARS IN WROCLAW VICTORY

Aussie ace Brady Kurtz continued his red-hot start to 2025 at the Olympic Stadium with 12 paid 13 points for Wroclaw as they triumphed 56-34 at home to Gorzow in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.
Kurtz ended the night on three wins and a paid win, with Gorzow’s Speedway GP star Anders Thomsen the only opponent to beat him in race three.
The 2024 FIM SGP Challenge winner was well supported by 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta, who scored 11 paid 13, with Polish shooting star Bartlomiej Kowalski adding 11 paid 12. SGP star Dan Bewley and local hero Maciej Janowski collecting seven each.
Slovak star Martin Vaculik led the Gorzow scoring on 10 paid 11, with Thomsen notching nine and Latvia’s Andzejs Lebedevs picking up eight paid nine points.
Sunday’s matches see Zielona Gora host Torun, while Czestochowa is at home to local rivals Rybnik. The match between Grudziadz and champions Lublin will be staged on Sunday, May 18 – the day after the Orlen Oil FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw.
