Speedway GP star Dominik Kubera raced to 13 paid 14 points as PGE Ekstraliga champions Lublin kicked off their Polish title defence in style with a thumping 59-31 win away to Zielona Gora on Friday evening.

Kubera dropped just one point to an opponent over five rides as Lublin made a resounding statement of intent for 2025.

The world No.8 was backed up by an 11-point haul from SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski and 10 paid 11 from five-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik.

Double SGP2 champion Mateusz Cierniak blazed to eight paid 13 points, while world No.3 Fredrik Lindgren scored seven paid eight and Aussie racer Jack Holder added seven.

Former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel was Zielona Gora’s best performer on 10 paid 12, with new signing Leon Madsen tallying 10.

The day’s other scheduled match between Czestochowa and Grudziadz has been rescheduled for Saturday due to an adverse weather forecast. Newly-promoted Rybnik hosts Gorzow on Sunday, with Torun welcoming Wroclaw.
