Australian international Ryan Douglas makes his Danish Speedwayligaen debut in 2026 after signing for Grindsted.
Douglas has competed regularly in Britain, Poland and Sweden, progressing into Australia’s national squad for recent FIM Speedway of Nations tournaments.
He now looks forward to testing himself in Denmark. He said: “I have been following the Danish league for the last few seasons and I am impressed with the direction it is moving in. I am really looking forward to giving it a go next season. I had some very good conversations with Grindsted, and it came across as a professional club with a strong squad.
“I am excited to start racing in Denmark. It is a new challenge for me, and I will give everything I have. I cannot wait to meet everyone.”
Elsewhere, Latvian international Francis Gusts has completed a move to Holsted for 2026, and Ukrainian star Marko Levishyn will represent Brovst club Nordjysk Elite Speedway as they return to the Danish top tier.
