DANISH DEBUT FOR SZOSTAKDANISH DEBUT FOR SZOSTAK

Polish young gun Sebastian Szostak will line up for Vojens club Sønderjylland Elite Speedway as he makes his debut in the Danish Speedwayligaen this season.

The 2024 SGP2 star, who finished third at the series opener in Malilla, raced to eighth place in the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship, but was denied the chance to fight for a medal after crashing out during the semi-finals at round two in Riga last August.

The Ostrow rider, who will also race for Indianerna in Sweden and Czech club Slany, was gutted he couldn’t end his junior career with an SGP2 podium, but he hopes racing for SES can help him start his senior career in style.

He said: “I think I would have ended up on the SGP2 podium if the accident hadn’t happened in Riga, but it was also my last season in the under-21s, so I’m looking towards new goals.

“I have heard that SES is a very professional team that has been at the top of the Danish league for four years. I am very curious to train on the famous SGP track at the Vojens Speedway Center.

“It is good for a young rider to gain experience with other types of tracks, and I thank the SES management for showing their trust in me. It is a great honour.”
