Czech sensation Adam ‘Bubba’ Bednar will make his much-anticipated FIM Speedway Grand Prix debut as wild card for the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague on May 31.
Rated as the Prague club and Czech speedway’s brightest talent, Bednar dons the famous No.16 race jacket as he faces the sport’s biggest stars for the first time, joining Czechia’s full-time Speedway GP star and his club teammate Jan Kvech in the line-up.
The 17-year-old served as first track reserve for the 2024 FIM Czech Speedway GP, but he will be guaranteed five rides on his home track this season.
Bednar was second in the 2023 Czech Championship at the age of 16. He also topped the podium at the prestigious Golden Ribbon meeting in Pardubice on October 5 and appeared in the 2024 FIM Speedway of Nations - SON2 event for under-21 national teams in Manchester last July, scoring 14 points.
As well as competing for Prague’s AK Marketa club in the Czech league, the teenager rides for Polish team Gorzow in the Under-24 Ekstraliga and is currently averaging 2.200 points per race in the competition.
The line-up for the FIM Czech Speedway GP will be completed by track reserves Jan Macek and Jaroslav Vanicek, who line up in the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.
