Danish racer Niels-Kristian Iversen is targeting a Speedwayligaen title charge after extending his stay with hometown team Esbjerg into a 13th season.

The four-time FIM Speedway World Cup winner and former world No.3 has become synonymous with the coastal club, and joins forces with the likes of Speedway GP star Jason Doyle, FIM North America champion Luke Becker and Danish riders Jonas Jeppesen, Matias Nielsen, Niklas Holm Jakobsen and Nicklas Aagaard.

Iversen is delighted to return. He said: “I'm looking forward to being part of the team again in 2025. I've always loved riding for Esbjerg and have a special relationship with the club and our fans.

“The team looks strong for the upcoming season and the goal is obvious that we have to fight for the title. Personally, my 2024 season was consistent, but I feel like I have a lot of capacity in me for improvement.

“Preparations are already underway and I'm already looking forward to getting on the bikes again.”

Team manager Tom Paarup Madsen commented: “He has been there, through both the good and the difficult times, and we know we can always count on him. Puk always gives 100 percent for the club and has a great ability to put the team before himself.

“He has been entertaining fans for many years, and we hope he continues to do so for as long as he enjoys it. We're looking forward to another season with Puk in 2025.”
