Aussie star Nick Morris is hoping for a lengthy stint with SGB Premiership side Wolverhampton after sealing his return to Monmore Green for 2022.

Morris joined the club from Swindon for 2019 and helped Wolves to second spot in last year’s pre-play-off table, before they were beaten in the semi-finals by eventual champions Peterborough.

Having established himself in black and gold over the past few years, Morris hopes to enjoy a long stay at the Black Country club.

He said: “It feels awesome to be back at Wolves. I’m so happy about it. It was always my first choice and it’s a club I hope to stay with for years to come.”

Morris teams up with the likes of Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Ryan Douglas, Drew Kemp and Leon Flint at Monmore Green with one further rider still to be revealed.

The former FIM Speedway World Cup finalist with Australia is pleased with the side assembled so far, particularly new signings Worrall and Kemp.

He said: “I think the team is looking really good. Stevie is always a guy you want in your team because he’s a real nice guy and a great, clean rider.

“He’ll be a great addition to the team and I’m sure he’ll find his feet pretty quickly with us.

“And Drew is an up-and-coming rider who has been doing well and I think will do a good job for us.

“Both guys have experience of our track as opposing riders, but also riding at National League level earlier in their careers when Cradley were here.”
