Czech Republic star Vaclav Milik will line up for Bauhaus Elitserien side Piraterna in 2022.

The FIM Speedway of Nations regular heads to Motala where he teams up with the likes of former FIM Speedway Grand Prix star Tomas H Jonasson, Oskar Fajfer, Jakub Jamrog, Marcin Nowak, Jonas Seifert-Salk and Rasmus Broberg.

The 28-year-old, who is a former FIM Czech Speedway GP finalist, will also compete for Polish First Division club Krosno, as well as Pardubice in his homeland.

Milik can’t wait to join forces with Sweden’s Pirates. He told the club’s official website: “I am very happy to represent the club next season.

“I’ve only been to Motala once but I liked it. It is a very technical but fast track. I hope that the whole team will thrive and that we can get the best results possible.

“I am longing to come to Motala this spring and race for the club. I hope all the supporters stay healthy in these times and I will see you soon.”

Team manager Daniel Davidsson added: “Vaclav is a rider with great international experience who has ridden in GPs and been around all tracks here in Sweden. He is a good reinforcement for the club in 2022.”

Elsewhere, American international Broc Nicol will complete Rospiggarna’s squad for 2022.

The 23-year-old represented Piraterna during the 2020 season and spent last year doubling-up between British clubs Wolverhampton and Glasgow. He will continue to race for the Tigers in the SGB Championship this term.

Nicol can’t wait to test himself on Swedish shale once again. He said: “I am very happy to ride for Rospiggarna in the Swedish top league.

“It’s a fantastic league to ride in and I look forward to the challenge. I will do my best to prove that I deserve a place on the team and I hope to develop as a rider during the season.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given and can’t wait for this year’s season to start!”
