Aussie star Jaimon Lidsey admits he would be interested in a British racing return one day.

The 2020 World Under-21 champion raced his one and only UK season with the Belle Vue Aces in 2019, before pandemic travel restrictions forced him to focus on his commitments in mainland Europe in 2020.

With Lidsey racing for PGE Ekstraliga side Leszno, he is now only allowed to compete in one other national league, and races for Swedish side Vastervik.

But the Victorian ace admits he has some unfinished business in the UK and if the rules allowed, Lidsey would be interested in a comeback.

After establishing himself in the world’s biggest speedway league, he also believes he would return to Britain a much better rider.

He said: “I would like to go back and race in Britain one day, but we can’t at the moment because of the restrictions.

“The Ekstraliga only allow us to do one other league. For me, it makes more sense to do Sweden. I am more set up to do Sweden.

“Hopefully they change the rules and I can be back in Britain one day. The first year was very difficult for me in Britain, learning all new tracks and just learning everything.

“If I went back now, I think I would do much better than I did in my first year. Hopefully in years to come I will be back there.”
