FIM SON Semi-Final 1

Esbjerg’s Granly Speedway Arena stages the biggest racing event in its history when the FIM Speedway of Nations comes to Denmark from July 27-30.
Home of the Esbjerg Vikings, the Granly Speedway Arena regularly hosts top-flight racing in Denmark’s Speedwayligaen. Some of Denmark’s racing greats hail from Esbjerg, including triple world champion Erik Gundersen and seven-time Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen.
The club’s history dates back to 1929 and Esbjerg is the oldest speedway venue in Denmark – making it the fitting place to launch a new era of FIM SON racing, which sees the entire event staged in one city over four nights for the very first time.
FIM SON Semi-Finals 1 and 2 take place on Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 28 respectively, before the sport’s top junior sides battle it out for the FIM Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship in SON2 on Friday, July 29.
An epic week of racing then concludes with the FIM SON Final on Saturday, July 30 as hosts Denmark face six other nations for the right to be crowned 2022 FIM SON world champions.
