Gorzow’s Speedway GP trio Anders Thomsen, Martin Vaculik and Bartosz Zmarzlik all warmed up for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix opener with double-figure returns on Friday.

Their side roared to a 51-39 triumph away to Grudziadz in the PGE Ekstraliga, with Danish champion Thomsen leading the charge on 11 paid 12, while Vaculik tallied 10 paid 12 and Zmarzlik zoomed to 10 paid 11.

They will now make the trip to Speedway Stadium Milenium where they will line up in the FIM Speedway GP of Croatia – Donji Kraljevec on Saturday, bidding to start a new era of speedway in style.

The Speedway GP trio were well supported by Patrick Hansen on nine paid 10 and Szymon Wozniak on eight paid nine.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen bagged 13 for Grudziadz, while Krzysztof Kasprzak added 11 paid 12.

Elsewhere, Leszno’s Speedway GP star Jason Doyle picked up nine paid 12 points as the Bulls charged to a 56-34 win at home to Ostrow.

Piotr Pawlicki led the Leszno scoring on 12 paid 13, with Jaimon Lidsey also impressing on 11 paid 12. Janusz Kolodziej notched nine and French international David Bellego scored seven paid eight.

Polish veteran Grzegorz Walasek was Ostrow’s leading scorer on 13 paid 14, with 2012 world champion Chris Holder collecting 12 paid 13.
